abstract | FIELD: nuclear medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear medicine; it can be used to obtain an isotope of radium-223 of medical purity. The method consists in preliminary deep purification of thorium-227 from the parent actinium-227 on a strong anionite (AB-17) by elution of the latter with 8 mol/l of nitric acid, washing thorium-227 from the anionite in the minimum volume of eluate, which is achieved by using 2 mol/l of hydrochloric acid as eluate. Next, thorium is transferred to a solution of 8 mol/l of nitric acid and radium-223 accumulated after a certain exposure on anionite is isolated by elution with 8 mol/l of nitric acid.EFFECT: provided is possibility to reliably prevent contamination of radium-223 preparation with actinium-227 and minimize its contamination with products of destruction of organic carriers.1 cl |
