titleOfInvention Method for treatment of acute purulent periostitis of the jaws using a diode laser
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to surgical dentistry. An incision of the mucous membrane, submucosal tissue and periosteum to the bone is performed parallel to the transition fold through the entire infiltration site. The outflow of pus from the focus of inflammation, bactericidal treatment of the postoperative wound and its drainage are provided. Incision and bactericidal treatment of the wound is performed by means of radiation of a diode laser with a wavelength of 0.97 microns, a power of 2.4 W during incision and a power of 1.5 W during bactericidal treatment. The diode laser operates in a pulse-periodic mode with a pulse duration of 600 ms, a pause duration of 400 ms. The exposure time is from 8 to 12 seconds for incision and from 3 to 7 seconds for bactericidal treatment. n EFFECT: method makes it possible to provide hemostasis during the opening of the inflammatory focus, to accelerate the relief of the inflammatory process, to reduce the time of epithelization of the postoperative wound, to reduce the intensity and duration of the pain syndrome, to reduce microbial contamination up to the complete destruction of the bacterial flora in the wound, to reduce postoperative edema, to prevent inflammatory complications. n 1 cl, 1 ex
