titleOfInvention Method for increasing quality of magnetite concentrates
abstract FIELD: mineral processing. n SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of mineral processing and can be used in integrated mining and processing plants in production of high quality magnetite concentrates. The method for increasing the quality of magnetite concentrates includes fine hydraulic screening, regrinding, wet magnetic separation. The underscreen product of main fine hydraulic screening is directed for wet magnetic separation resulting in a finished commercial concentrate and tailings. The overscreen product is directed for control wet magnetic separation, releasing tailings and concentrate supplied for control fine hydraulic screening, wherein the underscreen product thereof is combined with the underscreen product of main fine hydraulic screening, and the overscreen product is supplied for classification. The classification sands are directed for regrinding to a mill operating in a closed cycle with classification, and the classification overflow is directed for de-sludging. The de-sludge overflow is discharged into the tailings and the de-sludge sands are supplied for wet magnetic separation wherein said sands are separated into tailings and the finished commercial concentrate. n EFFECT: production of high-quality concentrates with a total mass fraction of iron of 67.0% and silicon dioxide of 6.22% from underscreen products of fine hydraulic screening and production of common concentrates with a total mass fraction of iron of 65.1% and silicon dioxide of 8.65% from overscreen products of fine hydraulic screening. n 1 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
