abstract | FIELD: chemical industry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing solutions of zirconium carboxylates. The method includes an exchange reaction between zirconium salts and alkali metal carboxylates, while an aqueous solution of zirconium trioxide salt is obtained by reacting basic zirconium carbonate with hydrochloric, or nitric, or acetic acid in an amount of 1.0 - 1.50 mol per 1 mol of zirconium in an aqueous solution or by reacting a water-soluble zirconyl salt selected from zirconyl chloride or zirconyl nitrate or zirconyl acetate with potassium carbonate or sodium carbonate or ammonium carbonate in an amount of 0.25-0.50 mol per mole of zirconium in an aqueous medium. The resulting solution is reacted in the presence of an organic solvent selected from aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons, or a mixture of an aliphatic hydrocarbon and alcohol C4and above, at a temperature of 50 - 60°C with an aqueous solution of carboxyl derivatives with the general formula RCOOM in an amount of 1.0 - 2, 3 mol per 1 mol of zirconium, where R is a hydrocarbon radical and M is an alkali metal cation. The water-salt layer is separated by settling, it is drained, leaving the target product in the apparatus, after which vacuum drying is carried out from the remaining water, diluted to the required metal concentration and filtered.EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a solution of zirconium carboxylates of a given composition in organic solvents, while simplifying and reducing the duration of the technological process and the amount of wastewater.1 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex |
