FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an exhaust system for a diesel engine, including an oxidation catalyst for processing exhaust gas from a diesel engine and an exhaust gas toxicity control device, in which the oxidation catalyst contains: the first region of the porous coating containing platinum (Pt), manganese( Mn), the first carrier material, and the hydrocarbon-adsorbing material, which is zeolite, and manganese (Mn) is placed on the first carrier material or deposited on the first carrier material; a second region of the porous coating containing a platinum group metal (PGM), manganese (Mn), and a second carrier material containing a refractory metal oxide, which is silicon dioxide-aluminum oxide or aluminum oxide doped with silicon dioxide, while the said second porous coating region contains platinum (Pt) as the only platinum group metal (PGM), and the platinum group metal (PGM) is placed on the second carrier material or deposited on the second carrier material, manganese (Mn) is placed on the second carrier material or deposited on the second carrier material, and wherein the second carrier material does not contain a hydrocarbon-adsorbing material, which is a zeolite; and a substrate having an inlet end and an outlet end; in which the first region of the porous coating is the first zone of the porous coating located at the inlet end of the substrate, and the second region of the porous coating is the second zone of the porous coating located at the outlet end of the substrate, so that the second region of the porous coating is placed in such a way as to contact the exhaust gas at the outlet end of the substrate after the exhaust gas has contacted the first region of the porous coating. The invention also relates to a vehicle and a method for processing the exhaust gas of a diesel engine.EFFECT: catalytic compositions with a long service life and low "operating" temperatures have been developed.17 cl, 10 dwg, 7 tbl, 12 ex |
