FIELD: building. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a strength-enhancing additive for cementing and/or pozzolanic compositions, which includes, in terms of the total dry weight of the additive, calcium silicate hydrate in an amount of about 0.5 to about 94 wt %, and: i) at least one alkanolamine in an amount of about 0.5 to about 55 wt %; ii) at least one inorganic hardening accelerator in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 85 wt %; and iii) at least one carbohydrate in an amount of about 0.5 to about 50 wt %t; in which calcium silicate hydrate includes the reaction product of a water-soluble calcium compound with a water-soluble silicate compound in the presence of a water-soluble dispersant; and in which at least one inorganic hardening accelerator includes any inorganic hardening accelerator (hardening accelerators) that is different from calcium silicate hydrate.
