Active cathode sulfur-containing composite material for lithium-ion batteries is a compound with the formula (1-a)LiNixMnyCozAvO2·aLidSbOc, where LiNixMnyCozAvO2is a component containing layered transition metal oxides, LidSbOcis an amorphous sulfur-containing component, A is alloying additive, selected from the group: Al, Mg, Zr, W, Ti, Cr, V, v≤0.1, x+y+z+v=1, 0.3≤x≤0.85; 0≤y≤0.3; 0≤z≤0.3; 0.0001≤a≤0.02, 0.001≤b≤2; 0≤c≤8; 0.001≤d≤2.
