titleOfInvention | Method for determining sediment composition in oil preparation equipment |
abstract | FIELD: oil industry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, in particular to the study of the chemical and mineral composition of sediments formed in equipment for preparing the extracted oil for processing. The method involves sampling a sample and dividing it into samples A, B, C and D, wherein, immediately after the separation of the sample with the aid of 5-8% ascorbic acid, a conservation of sample A is carried out, in which the sulphide content is then determined, in a sample B, dividing it into parts, in one of them the water content is determined, in the other the volatile organic compounds are determined, and in the remaining one the total inorganic matter content is determined as a mass fraction after the acidification at 600-650°C. In sample C, the total quantity of petroleum hydrocarbons shall be determined as the mass difference of the original and rinsed toluene sample. After dividing the remaining solid fraction of the sample C into two samples, C1 and C2, the inorganic components and organic compounds insoluble in toluene are determined from C1 and from C2 the organic compounds insoluble in toluene are determined. If the quantity of petroleum hydrocarbons in sediments exceeds 50%, the D sample shall be analyzed for paraffin content. n EFFECT: technical result is increase in quality of analyses for determining the composition of sediments and increase in the completeness of studies, with the results required for the implementation of timely measures for the effective protection of the equipment used against scaling. n 3 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex |
