titleOfInvention Method for the preparation of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (dmtd)
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the preparation of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, which involves mixing hydrazine hydrate, carbon disulfide and sodium hydroxide to produce a reaction medium containing a salt of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, followed by adding to the reaction medium a neutralizing component selected from a group containing strong organic or inorganic acids. According to the invention, prior to mixing, sodium hydroxide is cooled to a temperature of no more than 12℃. The hydrazine hydrate is added in an inert gas atmosphere during mixing. Mixing of hydrazine hydrate, carbon disulfide and sodium hydroxide is carried out in the molar ratio 1:2,2-2,4:1,55-1,95. The neutralizing component is a solution of sulfuric acid of 5-85%, or hydrochloric acid of 5-25%, or nitric acid of 5-85%, or acetic acid of 5-85%. Moreover, the reaction with the neutralizing component is carried out at a temperature of 10-60 ºC, and the substance obtained after mixing with the neutralizing component is filtered to obtain the finished product. n EFFECT: technical result is a new method for the preparation of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole with a high yield, which can be used as a part of antifreezes, lubricating and cooling liquid, and in metalworking. n 2 cl, 12 ex, 1 dwg
