abstract FIELD: agriculture. n SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a composition for chemical fruit thinning of fruit trees, including an aqueous solution of 6-benzyladenine and additional components. As additional components, the composition contains polyethylene oxide with average molecular weight 400–40,000, liquid sodium or potassium glass or any mixture thereof and nonionic surfactant in weight ratio of components of 6-benzyladenine: polyethylene oxide: liquid glass: SAS equal to 1:0.01–0.6:0.01–10:0.01–1. n EFFECT: composition enables to achieve, within a short period of 1–2 days after treatment, 80–85 % of shedding of the weakest ovaries of fruit trees when their average diameter is reached in a wide range from 5 to 11 mm. n 1 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
