titleOfInvention Method of removing silicone oil residues from the vitreal cavity using a cannula
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely ophthalmology and aims at removal of silicone oil residues from vitreal cavity. Method of removing silicone oil residues from the vitreal cavity by means of a cannula involves forming and subsequent extrusion of the oil emulsion from the air and fluid media interface using a cannula. That is ensured by using a two-channel coaxial cannula containing an annular aspiration channel and an internal irrigation channel with a longer end section. End face of the end section of the irrigation canal is immersed into the specified liquid medium, and the end face of the end section of the aspiration channel is successively placed in drops of the oil emulsion. Residues of silicone oil are extruded at constant supply of said fluid medium through irrigation channel.EFFECT: invention allows simplifying and improving safety of silicone oil removal from vitreal cavity.3 cl, 5 dwg
