FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: convenient insert comprises a retaining structure having a size suitable for its placement under the eyelids and along at least part of the conjunctival sac of the upper and lower eyelids. Restraining structure resists bending when placed in the conjunctival sac of the eye, and directs the insert along the sac when the eye moves. Retaining structure can be configured in various ways to provide resistance to bending and can have circular strength to push retaining structure in outer direction and prevent movement of retaining structure towards cornea. Tab can rotationally move with bending along the conjunctival sac and can contain a retaining structure having a cross-section size, suitable for matching inside conjunctive folds. Insert can contain a releasing mechanism and a therapeutic agent for releasing a therapeutic amount of the therapeutic agent for a long period of time.EFFECT: use of this invention enables to provide a therapeutically effective amount of one or more therapeutic agents.23 cl, 9 ex, 4 tbl, 28 dwg |
