abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pulmonology, and concerns a method for predicting the progression of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Essence of the request consists in the following: a patient's venous blood is examined for a relative number of granulocytes expressing Toll-like receptor 2 (CD282+granulocytes); the relative number of granulocytes expressing the interleukin-6 receptor (CD126+granulocytes); relative amount of T-regulatory cells (CD4+CD25+CD127-). A risk factor Kp = (CD126+granulocytes + CD282+granulocytes) / CD4+CD25+CD127-is calculated. If Cr is equal to or greater than 33 standard units, unfavorable course of COPD with high risk of disease progression is predicted. If Kp is less than 33 standard units, favorable course of COPD with low risk of disease progression is predicted.EFFECT: invention enables detecting and preventing progression of COPD at early stages of the disease.1 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
