abstract FIELD: medical equipment.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol delivery unit (10, 210, 410) for selective delivery of an aerosolized substance dose. Unit contains main body (12, 212, 412) and the actuating mechanism unit (260), which is available in main body (12, 212, 412). Unit includes a detachable cartridge assembly (14, 214, 414) connected to main body (12, 212, 412) and interacting with actuator mechanism (260). Detachable cartridge assembly (14, 214, 414) comprises container (16, 216, 416) containing substance to be aerosolized; and cartridge unit, into which container (16, 216, 416) is loaded. Cartridge unit includes cartridge body (90, 290, 430) having mouth (92, 292, 432) of the mouthpiece, through which the aerosolized substance dose released from container (16, 216, 416) is inhaled, at least one inlet opening (94, 294, 436), through which air can flow into cartridge unit, and inhalation passage (96, 296, 434) extending from the location of at least one inlet opening (94, 294, 436) to the location of mouth (92, 292) of the mouthpiece and in fluid communication with outlet (98, 438) ) of container (16, 216, 416).
