abstract | FIELD: woodworking industry.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of particle boards. Multilayer particle board comprises at least one central layer and surface layer. Particles of the surface layer are bound by a binder containing reaction products based on carbohydrate. Particles of the central layer are bound by binder other than the binder resin based on carbohydrate used in the surface layer. Binder containing a carbohydrate-based reaction product contains sugar-reducing reaction products and a nitrogen source. In a second embodiment, the surface layer of the particle board contains a reducing sugar and a nitrogen source. In implementing the method of producing particle boards, layers of tarred particles are arranged to form a laminated mat.
