Compositions for oral care and methods of using compositions |
abstract |
FIELD: oral care means and use thereof.SUBSTANCE: proposed oral care composition contains: at least one metal phosphate, wherein at least one phosphate is added to an oral care composition in form of a pre-formed salt; and in which phosphate is not pyrophosphate, not metaphosphate or other polyphosphate; at least one source of fluoride ions containing sodium fluoride, wherein sodium fluoride is present in amount of 0.1 % to 1.0 % by weight relative to the total weight of the oral care composition. At least one metal phosphate is stannous tribasic phosphate and the amount of tribasic phosphate of bivalent tin ranges from 0.5 % to 4.0 % by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. Also disclosed is a method of treating or reducing intensity of dental enamel erosion, involving administering said composition into the oral cavity of a subject in need thereof.EFFECT: group of inventions provides stability of fluoride source in compositions based on divalent tin sufficient for commercial applications, as well as effective antimicrobial action.15 cl, 2 tbl, 3 ex |
