titleOfInvention | Gas sensor based on microstructured optical fiber |
abstract | FIELD: detection of gases in air.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of detecting gases in air, particularly water vapor. Disclosed is a sensor model for detecting a new type of gas based on microstructured optical fiber (MOF) with a hollow core, modified with submicron (nanometer) particles, operating on the principle of detecting change in optical characteristics when passing through MOF. Sensor differs from analogues with simplified design, possibility of multiple use, which is ensured by absence of chemical adsorption of gas inside MOF, as well as potential increase of sensitivity. Sensor can be used in many industries, particularly in production, in refrigeration plants, as well as in medicine as an expired air analyzer.EFFECT: design of a sensor based on microstructured optical fiber having high sensitivity, simplicity and possibility of multiple use.6 cl, 3 dwg |
