abstract FIELD: medical equipment.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to surgical stapling tools. Proposed tool comprises drive system, electric motor, battery and control system. Electric motor is mechanically connected to drive system. Battery is electrically connected to the electric motor. Control system is electrically connected to electric motor and comprises circuit with H-bridge and electrically resistive element. Chain with H-bridge comprises high side and low side. Low side of chain with H-bridge contains switching devices. Resistive element is electrically connected in parallel to switching device or, in another version, with switching devices. Control system is configured to control force applied to drive system based on current, measured further along the circuit from electrically resistive element. In another version, the control system is configured to control the force applied to the drive system based on current, passing through electrically resistive element. In another version, control system comprises two electrically resistive elements. Second resistive element is connected in parallel to the other one of the switching devices. Control system is configured to control first and second forces. First force is applied to the drive system based on the first current measured further along the circuit from the first electrically resistive element. Second force is applied to the drive system based on the second current measured further along the circuit from the second electrically resistive element.EFFECT: surgical stapling instrument is provided with a control system based on current measured in a circuit with an H-bridge on the resistive elements or thereafter.20 cl, 31 dwg
