titleOfInvention | Method of producing ethylbenzene hydroperoxide |
abstract | FIELD: oil and gas industry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical industry, in particular to production of organic hydroperoxide by oxidation of hydrocarbon with oxygen-containing gas, which is used in processes of combined production of styrene, isoprene, alkylene oxides, for example, propylene, ethylene, amylenes. Method of producing ethylbenzene hydroperoxide by liquid-phase oxidation of ethylbenzene is carried out with oxygen-containing gas at temperature of 110–140 °C in presence of catalyst. Catalyst used is carboxylate Mnor Co, which is preliminarily treated with hydrogen peroxide or ethylbenzene hydroperoxide at ratio of hydrogen peroxide or ethylbenzene hydroperoxide to metal from 0.5 to 1.1 mol/mol at temperature of (-20)–(-1) °C. Ethylbenzene oxidation is carried out at catalyst concentration equal to 1⋅10–1⋅10mol/l in terms of metal.EFFECT: technical result is to simplify the method of oxidising ethylbenzene with selectivity of formation of ethylbenzene hydroperoxide to 96 mol% by conducting an oxidation process in one or in a battery of two reactors using a composition which is simpler in composition and in a lesser amount, at concentration equal to 1⋅10–1⋅10mol/l in terms of metal, and with less by 25 % of oxidation time and thereby increase efficiency of the process of converting hydrocarbon to hydroperoxide.1 cl, 1 tbl, 13 ex |
