abstract |
FIELD: biotechnology.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means and methods of producing an amide compound from a nitrile compound with a lesser amount of acrylic acid as a by-product using a microorganism, which produces nitrile hydratase (NHase) and amidase, as a biocatalyst. Microorganism is Rhodococcus rhodochrous. To obtain an amide compound from a nitrile compound, said microorganism is pre-treated by drying by spray drying or lyophilisation before contacting with a nitrile compound. Amide compound is at least one compound selected from acrylamide and methacrylamide, and the nitrile compound is at least one compound selected from acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile. Ratio of activity of NHase to activity of amidase of said microorganism increases compared to a reference microorganism which has not been pre-treated by drying.EFFECT: invention increases activity ratio of NHase/amidase of microorganism, reduces activity of amidase and thus reduces formation of acrylic acid from amide when producing an amide compound from a nitrile compound.19 cl, 7 dwg, 4 tbl, 10 ex |
