abstract FIELD: technological processes. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolysis electrode comprising: a conductive substrate; and a catalyst layer formed on the surface of the conductive substrate, wherein the catalyst layer contains a ruthenium element, an iridium element, a titanium element and at least one first transition metal element selected from the group consisting of V, Cr, Fe, Co, Cu and Zn, the relative content of the first transition metal element contained in catalyst layer, in terms of 1 mol of titanium element is 0.25 mol. % or more and less than 3.4 mol. %, and value D, which is an indicator of capacity of double electric layer of electrode for electrolysis, is 120 Cl/m 2 or more and 420 Cl/m 2 or less.
