abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a wound treatment system comprising: (a) a first layer comprising a first zinc material and a second material which is silver and/or a silver salt, wherein first and second materials are spatially separated from each other and have different standard electrode potential E°, measured at 25 °C, 101.3 kPa, pH=0 and ion activity coefficient 1; and (b) a second layer moistening the wound, comprising a hydrophilic polyurethane foam containing 10–80 wt % of water. Also disclosed are use of said first and second materials in therapeutic treatment of wounds on human or animal body and using a kit comprising layers (a) and (b) packed separately from each other to produce a wound dressing.EFFECT: group of inventions provides more rapid wound healing and fewer scars.12 cl |
