abstract FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to colour pigments based on silicon oxide and/or silicate material widely used in construction materials. Described are colour pigment particles which include a silicon oxide and/or silicate material having a negative zeta potential, an anionic dye and a quaternary ammonium compound. Said material includes precipitated silicon dioxide. Quantitative content of quaternary ammonium compound ranges from 50 to 300 wt. %, sufficient to provide 0 mV zeta potential of mixture of dry said material in deionised water concentration of 1 wt. %. Ratio of the weight of the dye to the weight of the quaternary compound ranges from 0.02:1 to 0.24:1. Described also is a method of producing colour pigment particles. Said coloured pigment particles are characterized by average particle size of 1 to 1000 mcm, BET surface area of 1 to 1200 m/g, an oil absorption value from 30 to 600 cm/100 g, an apparent bulk density after compaction from 3 to 60 lb/ft, pH of 3 to 10.5.EFFECT: invention provides high resistance of colour pigment particles containing silicon oxide and/or silicate material to decolourisation.16 cl, 1 dwg, 7 tbl, 81 ex
