abstract |
FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water or sewage sludge. n SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for purification of waste water of pulp-and-paper industry. Removal of humic substances containing lignin and other lignin-type compounds and their decomposition products from aqueous alkaline waste water from chemical pulp bleaching is carried out by deposition using high-cationic starch. High-cationic starch has charge density of at least 1.8 mEq/g of dry substance of starch derivatives, determined at pH 7–7.5, and viscosity of 20 mPa·s, measured in 3 % starch solution in water with addition of NaCl in five-fold amount relative to starch. n EFFECT: disclosed invention provides removal of humic substances from aqueous alkaline solution, and reduces amount of inorganic wastes. n 11 cl, 2 tbl |
