abstract FIELD: optics.SUBSTANCE: device for forming an optical beam has a collimator for receiving light from an optical source and an optical plate which has a two-dimensional array of lenses on the input side and a corresponding two-dimensional array of lenses on the opposite output side. Each of the lenses on the input side has a focusing point on the corresponding lens on the output side, and each of the lenses on the output side has a focusing point on the corresponding lens on the input side.
