titleOfInvention Method for cytologic examination in differential diagnosis of nodular thyroid formations
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology, and can be used for cytologic examination in differential diagnostics of thyroid nodules. Fine-needle aspiration biopsy of nodal sites is performed under ultrasonography control, followed by cytological examination of the obtained punctate, which is centrifuged and used to prepare the preparation on the slide. Punctate is centrifuged at rate of 600 rpm for 30 seconds, the residue is separated and placed in 10 % neutral formalin so that the fixing fluid occupies volume not less than the volume of the sample. Obtained mixture of fixative and precipitate of osseous centrifugation is centrifuged at rate of 600 rpm for 10 seconds. Precipitate formed after centrifugation is applied on the slide with a thin layer, stained and studied by phase-contrast microscopy, detecting the type, number and ratio of cellular ensembles. n EFFECT: method provides faster and more informative method while providing the possibility of assessing the dynamics of change of material of the examined organon due to the fact that the obtained sample provides an idea of the number and ratio of cell ensembles in a clot of cells obtained from an infiltrate of thyroid nodules after centrifugation. n 1 cl, 12 dwg
