FIELD: manufacturing technology.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of coal-graphite materials. To obtain graphite foil with improved sealing properties, intercalated graphite is first obtained, which is then heated in thermal shock to produce a semi-product containing thermally expanded graphite and amorphous carbon. Heating is carried out at temperatures providing maximum value of ratio I/Idepending on oxidation depth, where Iand I– peaks of scattered radiation intensity in the frequency range of 1,500–1,630 cmand 1,305–1,395 cmrespectively, for graphite and amorphous carbon, measured by Raman spectroscopy depending on the depth of oxidation of said intercalated graphite. Maximum value of ratio I/Ifor each oxidation depth is greater than or equal to 0.05. Said semi-product is subjected to compression to produce target product – graphite foil. Sheet material, which is a laminate, is made based on said foil, and comprises metal foil, tape or mesh. A flanged or gland seal is obtained from said foil.EFFECT: group of inventions improves air-tightness.15 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl, 3 ex |
