titleOfInvention Method for making small-diameter blood vessel prostheses by electrospinning and device for its implementation
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, biotechnology and tissue engineering and can be used for making small-diameter blood vessel prostheses. Method for making small-diameter blood vessel prostheses by electrospinning involves preparing a polymer composition by dissolving the initial synthetic polymer in a solvent, mixing polymer solution with protein solution and conducting electrospinning by applying obtained polymer composition from electrode-spinneret to electrode-collector with variable diameter. Selected polymer is dissolved in a suitable solvent to a final concentration of 3.0–10.0 % in the finished polymer composition, protein – to a final concentration of 0.1–30.0 % of the initial polymer weight, anticoagulant – to a final concentration of 0.5–1.5 % of initial polymer weight, then obtained solutions are mixed, polymer composition is placed in electrode-draw plate, before beginning of electrospinning, electrode collector diameter is set to 1.1÷1.4 times greater than the initial diameter of the collector by injecting an electrolyte therein and starting the electrospinning process with a program for smooth linear reduction of the diameter of the electrode collector to the initial diameter. Electrode-collector used is a steel tube with holes, on which a tube from electroconductive elastomer is fixed, and obtained vessel prosthesis is treated with bifunctional cross-linking reagent with subsequent deactivation of reactive groups by treatment with an alkaline glycine solution and dried. Device for conducting electrospinning is also disclosed.EFFECT: group of inventions provides preparing prostheses of blood vessels with high compliance and smooth inner surface, high hemo- and biocompatibility and longer life.12 cl, 11 dwg, 2 tbl, 3 ex
