abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For laser exposure on retina of patient with active retinopathy of prematurity during transpupillar pattern laser coagulation of retina, hexagonal patterns with number of laser applications in one pattern 7, with diameter of one laser applicator of 300 mcm, distance between laser applicants in pattern of 0.5 diameter of laser applicator are used. Hexagonal patterns are applied on the whole surface of the avascular avalanche.EFFECT: method provides reduction of total energy load on retina of premature infants with active stages of "threshold" retinopathy of premature and posterior aggressive retinopathy of premature infants with early clinical manifestations and stages of disease manifestation, optimum juxtaposition of neighboring hexagonal patterns, minimizing use of the single pulse mode, shorter duration of the laser coagulation laser session and, respectively, anesthesia for the premature infant with preservation of the laser exposure efficiency and dosage.1 cl, 4 tbl
