titleOfInvention Set of instruments for intubation of lacrimal passages and method of intubation of lacrimal passages
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended for atraumatic intubation of lachrymal passages at their narrowing. Set for intubation of lachrymal ducts consists of nasal, lacrimal probes, mandrin for lacrimal probe and flexible lacrimal implant. Nasal probe has the shape of a cylindrical hollow rod with 100 mm-long handle, 40 mm-long meatal conical part, an intraductal portion located at angle of 110° relative to probe axis, with length of 8.3 mm and ending with ball-shaped tip with diameter of 1.30 mm. Lacrimal probe is flattened probe 102 mm long curved at angle of 150° at distance of 6.2 mm from the input end. Lacrimal probe and the mandrin can be provided with a plate for position stabilization, and the lacrimal probe can have a mandrin limiter. Lacrimal probe is inserted through one of the lacrimal points into the cavity of the nasolacrimal duct with the mandrel set to the level of the end nostril canal bone. Intraductive part of the nasal sonde is retrograde introduced in the mouth of the nasolacrimal duct; the mucous membrane is stretched with its help until the nasolacrimal duct mouth is vertically positioned. Further, the lacrimal probe is advanced along the entire length of the nasolacrimal duct; mandrake is removed from the lacrimal probe, an antegrade lacrimal implant is introduced, and the nasal probe is withdrawn from the nasal cavity, and both probes are removed. Method provides non-traumatic intubation with possibility of simultaneous expansion of lacrimal passages in narrowing and preventing haemorrhage and induction of inflammatory process.EFFECT: additional technical result is cost effectiveness.3 cl, 2 dwg
