titleOfInvention Method of treating descemet's membrane separation
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For the treatment of the Descemet's membrane (DM) detachment in the preoperative period, an optical coherent tomography of the anterior segment (aOCT) is performed in the vertical position of the patient's body with determining DM detachment and descemetotomy. Treatment of DM detachment is carried out under the control of intraoperative aOCT in the horizontal position of the patient's body, additionally detecting the lower boundary of the cavity between the DM and the corneal stroma and, accordingly, the DM maximum stress area. Further, a sterile air bubble is introduced into the anterior chamber, and a descemetotomy is performed in the area of the lower border of the cavity between the DM and the corneal stroma in the zone of maximum DM tension with evacuation of the liquid from the DM detachment cavity to the complete adjacency of the DM under the control of the intraoperative aOCT.EFFECT: method provides early recovery of visual functions by restoring the anatomical position of the DM, which prevents the corneal stromal edema increase, the DM detachment progression, eliminates the possibility of its recurrence and reduces the length of the patient's stationary stay.1 cl, 1 ex
