titleOfInvention | Coating for substrate |
abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to a hydrophilic coating on a surface of a substrate, which is a medical device comprising: (i) a cross-linked copolymer of components A and B; where component A includes one or more C–Chydrophilic monomers, wherein each of them contains one or more alkene and/or alkyne groups, wherein component A contains a carboxyl group; component B includes one or more diacrylate-functionalised PEG polymers; and where the cross-linked copolymer is obtained by carrying out radical polymerisation involving alkene and/or alkyne groups of components A and B; or (ii) a cross-linked copolymer of components A, B and C; where component A includes one or more C–Chydrophilic monomers, wherein each of them contains one or more alkene and/or alkyne groups, wherein component A contains a carboxyl group; component B includes one or more diacrylate-functionalised PEG polymers; component C includes methacrylated heparin containing one or more alkene or alkyne groups; and where the cross-linked copolymer is obtained by carrying out radical polymerisation involving alkene and/or alkyne groups of components A, B and C; where said hydrophilic coating is covalently bonded to substrate surface, wherein covalent bonding between substrate surface and hydrophilic coating is obtained by reacting surface-bound radicals on substrate surface and hydrophilic coating component, where the radicals bound to the surface are formed as a result of splitting hydrogen atoms from the surface of the substrate, to a method of producing a hydrophilic coating.EFFECT: group of inventions provides a hydrophilic coating which is highly lubricating and durable, while simultaneously also non-toxic, sterilizing and aging resistant, biocompatible and slightly fractioned and easily applied on the desired surface of the substrate independent of the surface.51 cl, 6 tbl, 8 ex, 12 dwg |
