abstract |
FIELD: chemistry; medicine.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to multicomponent microparticles for use in a composition for preventing and/or treating inflammatory or obstructive respiratory diseases. Each microparticle contains a combination of beclomethasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate and glycopyrronium bromide as active ingredients at ratio of 35:10:55 to 94:1:5 by weight. Method of producing said microparticles involves preparing a solution of three said active components in a solvent consisting of a mixture of ethanol and water in ratio of 85:15 to 95:5 by volume, forming an aerosol from the obtained solution and drying the sprayed droplets to form microparticles. Obtained microparticles are characterized by a shape factor from 0.95 to 1.05. Also described are a pharmaceutical aerosol composition for metered dose inhalers containing said microparticles in a suspension in a liquefied propellant gas, and a dry powder composition containing said microparticles and a carrier which is an alpha-lactose monohydrate in combination with magnesium stearate.
