titleOfInvention Method of refining ferrosilicon from aluminum
abstract FIELD: metallurgy. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used for purification from ferrosilicon impurities obtained by reducing melting in ore-thermal electric furnaces. Ferrosilicon in form of commercial ferrosilicon screenings with 0–5 mm fraction, or lump ferrosilicon, which is crushed to 0–5 mm fraction, briquetting together with silica in form of quartz sand and limestone using liquid sodium silicate, drying the obtained briquettes, molten flux from quartz sand and limestone, maintaining total bulk of fluxes in furnace equal to 0.25–0.35, with ratio of fluxes of 0.18–0.25 and with oxidation potential of fluxes exceeding theoretical value by 5.5–7 times. n EFFECT: invention enables to recycle and involve into production screenings and dusty wastes formed during crushing of ferrosilicon, and to increase efficiency of refining from aluminum. n 1 cl, 9 ex
