abstract | FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a non-chromate corrosion inhibitor for use in sealing compounds in the field of aerospace applications, to embodiments of a sealant composition, to a cured sealant, to the sealing method of the part, to the sealant system, to the curable sealant composition, to the use of the cured sealant, to the aircraft-and-spacecraft. Sealant composition contains a prepolymer polythioether having terminal thiol groups; polyepoxy curing agent and non-chromate corrosion inhibitor. Non-chromate corrosion inhibitor contains zinc borate; 2-benzothiazolylthiobutanedioic acid; zinc orthophosphate; sodium titanate and tricalcium phosphate. After curing said composition, a cured sealant is obtained. Sealing method of the part consists in the fact that said sealant composition is applied on at least part of the part. Composition is then cured to produce sealed part. Sealant system comprises a first component and a second component. First component contains said prepolymer polythioether and first part of non-chromate corrosion inhibitor, including zinc orthophosphate; sodium titanate; tricalcium phosphate. Second component of the system contains polyepoxide and the second part of non-chromate corrosion inhibitor containing zinc borate and 2-benzothiazolylthiobutandioic acid. Curable sealant composition is obtained by combining a first component and a second component of a sealant system.
