titleOfInvention Dental composition and method for use thereof
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to dentistry, specifically to a dental composition and a method for use thereof for root canal unsealing. Disclosed dental composition for chemical cleaning of root canals and hard tissues of tooth cavity from filling materials includes monoatomic alcohols and ethers with boiling point within 70–145 °C, a perfume selected from liquids evaporating without residue, antiseptic additive dissolving in a residue-free composition and providing a prolonged antimicrobial and antibacterial effect at the border of solid tissue-restoration material, with the following content of components, wt%: monohydric alcohol 20.0–40.0; antimicrobial additive 0.01–2.0; odoriferous agent 1.0–10.0; ethers of monohydric alcohol up to 100.0. Monohydric alcohol used is ethyl, n-propyl or isopropyl alcohol, the esters used are acetates of said alcohols; antimicrobial additive is chlorhexidine or derivatives thereof, such as chlorhexidine hydrochloride, chlorhexidine gluconate or chlorhexidine acetate, and the perfume used is amyl acetate or isoamyl acetate. Disclosed also is a method of cleaning root canals from seals from dental materials, such as resorcinol-formalin paste, zinc oxide eugenol preparations, gutta-percha pins, characterized by that it includes applying directly on dental material in root canal of said composition, activation of ultrasonic composition with frequency of 27 kHz, power from 3 to 4 W at least twice for 1–2 minutes with composition updating and irrigation before the next treatment protocol.EFFECT: effective chemical cleaning of root canals and hard tissues of tooth cavity from filling materials without using mechanical treatment by manual and machine tools, which eliminates mechanical action leading to thinning of walls of tooth cavity and root canals; presence of antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.2 cl, 1 tbl, 21 ex, 3 dwg
