titleOfInvention | Non-invasive diagnostic method of endogenous hypercorticoidism |
abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and represents a method for non-invasive diagnosis of endogenous hypercorticoidism involving saliva with subsequent determination of cortisol concentration and suppression of its level against the background of the dexamethasone test, saliva is collected in evening at 23:00±30 minutes, followed by 1 mg dexamethasone, 9–10 hours later, repeated saliva sampling with determination of cortisol concentration, wherein determination of cortisol is performed by electrochemiluminescent method, in case of cortisol content in evening saliva sample <9.4 nmol/l and in morning saliva sample <12.0 nmol/l conclude absence of endogenous hypercorticoidism, in case of cortisol in an evening saliva sample ≥9.4 nmole/l and in morning saliva sample ≥12.0 nmol/l conclude that endogenous hypercorticoidism is present; in other cases, additional analysis is required.EFFECT: implementation of the invention allows diagnosing endogenous hypercorticoidism with sufficient accuracy and completely eliminating invasiveness of diagnostic measures.4 cl, 2 dwg, 4 tbl, 5 ex |
