abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel compound based on a cationic copolymer of acrylamide and iron (III) hydroxide sol, specifically to poly(acrylamide)(hydro[tetrahydroxoiron(III)]dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate), which can be used in purification of waste water containing titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ), or silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ), or zirconium dioxide (ZrO 2 ), or magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH) 2 ), as well as after bio-treatment step. Poly(acrylamide)(hydro[tetrahydroxoiron(III)]dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate) has the following structural formula: n n n n in which n 1 equals 49500, n 2 is 2900, molecular weight is 4.11⋅10 6 standard unit. n EFFECT: invention increases flocculation effect when purifying waste water containing titanium dioxide or silicon dioxide or zirconium dioxide or magnesium hydroxide, and also after biofeeding step 4 to 15 times. n 1 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
