abstract FIELD: internal combustion engines. n SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines fuel supply systems. Disclosed are methods and systems for operation of fuel feed pump of fuel system of engine. In one example of method, when fuel feed pump is switched on from off state, voltage of fuel feed pump is limited to lower first level. According to the method, the fuel feed pump voltage is maintained at the lower first level for a certain period of time before increasing the fuel feed pump voltage higher than the first level. n EFFECT: invention allows reducing voltage surges at fuel priming pump activation, as well as reducing pressure jumps in fuel rail and fuel line leading thereto and fuel dosing errors due to gradual increase of fuel pressure in fuel lines, which contributes to improvement of engine performance. n 20 cl, 9 dwg
