titleOfInvention Earplug with tip cavity and methods of manufacturing same
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: declared group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to versions of an earplug, and a method for manufacturing an aperitoneal plug. In the first version, the earplug comprises a solid core with a first end, a second end and an outer surface. Longitudinal axis passes between the first end and the second end of the core. Plug includes a sound attenuating element attached to the core outer surface. Sound-attenuating element comprises an ear tip and a base. Ear tip of the sound-attenuating element is located near the first end of the core. Base is located closer to the second end of the core, than the first end of the core. One-piece core extends through a part of sound attenuating element. Plug has a cavity of the auricle in a sound-attenuating element. Cavity of the auricle has a sound-extinguishing element extending from the ear-tip in the direction towards its lower part closest to the base of the sound-attenuating element. Lower part of the cavity of the auricle is located between the tip and the base of the sound attenuating element. Cavity of the auricle has a cross-sectional area of the cavity of the auricle, which is greater than or equal to the cross-sectional area of the core. Area of the cross-section of the cavity of the auricle is measured in the first plane located on the first end of the core and across the longitudinal axis. Cross-sectional area of core is measured in second plane oriented across longitudinal axis. Second plane passes through the sound-attenuating element under the lower part of the cavity of the auricle and above the base of the sound attenuating element. In the second version of the plug, the solid core contains a head located in the cavity of the auricle. First end of the core is located on the head and above the lower part of the cavity of the auricle. Head part has cross-section area of the head that is greater than or equal to cross-section area of the core. Head cross-section area is measured in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and located above the lower part of the cavity of the auricle and under the first end of the whole core. One-piece core is made of the first material, and the sound-attenuating element is made of the second material, wherein the first material differs from the second material. Method of earplug making comprises the stage whereat the outer surface of the solid core, which contains the first material, is coated with the second material containing the nonactivated foaming agent. Then, the first end of the core and at least part of the second material are introduced into the cavity of the mold. Further, the non-activated foaming agent is activated in the cavity of the mold to form a sound-attenuating element in the cavity of the mold, which is attached to the outer surface of the core. n EFFECT: technical result is to facilitate insertion of earplugs and ease of use. n 21 cl, 10 dwg
