titleOfInvention | Injection device |
abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: present invention provides an injection device for delivering a payload to a tissue comprising a body, a cannula forming a lumen and having a proximal end housed in the body, and a distal end protruding from the body, a hollow needle containing a distal end with a tip for piercing tissue, a bias element that moves the needle from the extended position to the retracted position; and an actuator to move the payload from the initial position to the exit from the distal end of the cannula.EFFECT: in the extended position, the needle occupies at least part of the cannula lumen and the distal end of the needle projects beyond the distal end of the cannula, and in the retracted position, the distal end of the needle is extended sufficiently out of the cannula lumen to allow the payload to move from its initial position through the distal end of the cannula.49 cl, 2 dwg |
