abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry and can be used in the manufacture of displays with field emission of electrons or photoluminescent devices. Calcium titanate phosphor activated by praseodymium (III) has the general formula Ca 1-x Pr x Tio 3 , where 0.001 ≤ x ≤ 0.005. To obtain a phosphor, first prepare the reaction mixture by preliminary mechanical stirring in a planetary mill for 20 minutes of powders of calcium oxide or calcium carbonate, crystalline hydrate of praseodymium (III) nitrate, titanium oxide (IV), titanium, sodium perchlorate. Then, these components of the mixture obtained are subjected to exothermic interaction in the mode of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in an open-type reactor at atmospheric pressure in air for 5 minutes. n EFFECT: simplifies the method of obtaining the phosphor by reducing the synthesis time, using simple equipment, powder components and reducing the synthesis temperature. n 1 cl, 2 dwg, 4 tbl, 2 ex
