abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used to assess the effectiveness of treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis (CGP) in pregnant women. Oral and gingival fluid of a woman in the second trimester of pregnancy is studied prior to treatment, then 30 days after the start of treatment. Content of osteoprotegerin OPG, pg/ml, is determined in the oral fluid prior to treatment – OPG 0 , 30 days after the start of treatment – OPG 30 . Concentration of Katelecidin LL37 (K), pg/ml, is determined in the gingival fluid before treatment – K 0 , 30 days after the start of treatment – K 30 . Indicators P 1 and P 2 are calculated by formulas: P 1 = OPG 30 – OPG 0 , P 2 = K 0 – K 30 . If conditions P 1 ≥3.2 and P 2 ≥1.6 are simultaneously fulfilled, treatment is assessed as effective. n EFFECT: proposed method provides a high degree of reliability of assessment of effectiveness of treatment of mild and moderate CGP in pregnant women. n 1 cl |
