abstract FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry and veterinary medicine and is a method for the treatment of gastroenteritis of calves in conditions of man-made provinces with an excess of lead, nickel and cadmium, which consists in symptomatic therapy, by subcutaneous administration of caffeine sodium benzoate and 5 % glucose solution, as well as by intramuscular injection once, 4–5 days Baytril in a dose of 2.6–2.7 ml and the additional introduction into the diet of the mineral gastrointestinal adsorbent of vermiculite of the Potaninsk deposit at the rate of 0.11–0.15 g per 1 kg of live weight once, daily 12–14 days with a duration of treatment of 12–14 days.EFFECT: invention provides a more effective method of treating gastroenteritis in calves in ecologically unfavorable areas against the background of excessive content of lead, nickel and cadmium salts in environmental objects.1 cl, 1 ex, 3 tbl
