abstract |
FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a slurry polymerisation process for producing polyethylene in a reactor cascade of two or more ethylene polymerisation reactors. Method includes feeding to the polymerisation reactor amounts of ethylene, Ziegler catalyst, a primary aluminium alkyl and a diluent. Slurry product is collected from the polymerisation reactor and fed to a second reactor. Additional amounts of ethylene and diluent are fed to two or more polymerisation reactors from the reactor cascade. Before feeding ethylene to the reactor cascade, it is first passed through an ethylene purification plant, which reduces at least the concentration of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen, acetylene and water contained in ethylene. n EFFECT: technical result is minimising the harmful effects of catalytic poisons in the reactor and ensuring stable polymerisation conditions when producing multimodal polyethylene. n 15 cl, 1 dwg |
