abstract FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a crosslinked polymer composition, its use in insulation of a power cable and a power cable. Crosslinked polymer composition is obtained by cross-linking a polymer composition which has a melt flow rate (MFR) of less than 1.7 g/10 min and contains a polyolefin, a peroxide and a phenolic sulphur-containing antioxidant. Crosslinked polymer composition has an oxidation induction time which corresponds to Z min, and contains an amount of peroxide by-products, which corresponds to W ppm, where 0≤Z≤60, 0≤W≤9500, and W≤p-270⋅Z, and p = 18500. Polymer composition contains less than 0.05 wt% of 2,4-diphenyl-4-methyl-1-pentene.EFFECT: providing a low-conductivity polymer composition suitable for applications in direct current high-voltage and ultra-high voltage cables.16 cl, 3 tbl
