titleOfInvention Method for producing articles of complex form based on carbon syntactic foam materials and installation for implementation of method
abstract FIELD: technological processes. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of articles of foam that can be carbonized. Method includes the steps of preparing a binder composition from a phenol-formaldehyde resin and a solvent by dosing the input components to the required viscosity of the binder composition, mixing hollow glass microspheres in the volume of the binder composition with removal of solvent vapors, forming a workpiece in the matrix corresponding to the contour of the manufactured product, under pressure and at a temperature of heat treatment with repeated removal of volatile elements, carbonizing resulting billet in an electrovacuum furnace and pyro-compaction in an induction furnace with vacuum suction of the gas phase. Only the outer working surface of the article is subjected to pyroplating to a predetermined depth. Method further comprises the steps of matching the glass microspheres with materials compatible with the binder composition and preheating them before mixing with the binder composition to the boiling point of the solvent. Components of the binder composition with the glass microspheres embedded in it are subjected to ultrasonic vibrations with a frequency in the range of 15–18 kHz, before forming a shell of a certain thickness around the microspheres of the binder composition. Apparatus for carrying out the method includes a binder preparation unit, a hollow microsphere heating unit combined with a device for feeding them to a mixing apparatus for hollow microspheres with a binder, forming tool placed in a muffle furnace, a device for the carbonization of articles and a device for the pyro-compaction of articles. n EFFECT: possibility of manufacturing large-sized products of complex shape with given thermophysical and elastic-strength properties. n 7 cl, 6 dwg
