titleOfInvention | White color pigment particles agglomerates production method |
abstract | FIELD: technological processes. n SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the polymeric materials production: paint and varnish coatings, plastics, compounds, sealants, adhesives, rubbers. White pigment particles agglomerates production process comprises the mineral filler pre-calcination and subsequent filler particles and titanium dioxide joint grinding. As the mineral filler, mixture of kaolin and hydrated alumina is used with the following wt. ratio: kaolin 50–80, hydrated alumina 20–50. Filler content makes up to 40 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the pigment. Calcination is carried out at a temperature of 450–500 °C for 2–3 hours. Joint grinding is carried out at a temperature of 100–150 °C. n EFFECT: invention allows to partly replace the titanium dioxide in the white pigment composition with more affordable and inexpensive materials without significant loss in the pigment whiteness and covering quality. n 3 cl, 1 tbl, 11 ex |
