abstract FIELD: biochemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) to suppress the expression of the target gene in Leptinotarsa or Lygus. Also disclosed are a DNA construct encoding said dsRNA, a prokaryotic host cell, a yeast or plant host cell containing said DNA construct, a composition comprising dsRNA, a transgenic plant modified with said dsRNA, and a seed obtained from said transgenic plant.
