abstract FIELD: technological processes. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a powder coating composition which is resistant to corrosion and peeling, as well as to a method for applying said composition to a steel substrate. Composition comprises one or more epoxy polymers, at least one adhesion promoter and at least one reinforcing filler which is glass fibre. One or more epoxy polymers have an epoxy equivalent weight (EEW) of 700 to 1,500. Coating composition is applied to a steel substrate as a single-layer coating system and is heated to an effective temperature for a time sufficient to melt the composition. n EFFECT: invention provides the same good performance characteristics as a traditional two-layer system. n 15 cl, 6 tbl, 2 ex
